I had this beer on a recent trip to Green Bay. I always try to make time to try the local options instead of the big nationals so I figured I would give this one a shot. This beer pours a golden amber in color (much more golden than amber) and is clear with a white, frothy head that dissipates slowly to a thin lacing with a bit of rockiness to it that is retained nicely. Visible carbonation is moderate in nature. 3.75/5 The aroma is just like the name of the beer, full of pine and herbal hops. The malt bill is fairly light on the nose with the hops really leading the way, although there is just a bit of a breadiness that brings a slight sweetness to the aroma. 3.5/5 The flavor is very one dimensional here with the focus being almost entirely on the pine resin and herbal hops. The bitterness from the hops is moderate but lingers for quite some time. The malt comes across as white bread with just a hint of caramel that lends a sweetness that really does nothing to balance the beer. 3.5/5 This is a fairly drying (with moderate lingering dryness) pale ale that starts out with a light carbonation burn and then quickly transitions into the drying. Light to medium bodied, and a bit watery at times. 3.25/5 If you're looking for pine, pine, and more pine, this is the pale ale for you. Especially if you'd also like a fairly sessionable pale ale along with your pine. Based on the name, I'm sure the brewers got what they intended out of this, but it's so one dimensional that I will more than likely not be ordering it in the future. 3.5/5

Poured from 12oz can into pint glass. This session ipa is very light colored almost water downed straw. Heavy pine smell and taste, almost to the point of drowning out anything else.

Once again I say pretty good for a beer that really shouldn't be. Decent hop flavor and aroma. But the body isn't quite there and the very part of what makes and IPA what it is, compared to a meeker brew, isn't here. Still, not too bad.

12oz can, served in a snifter glass.

Pours a slightly hazy, darker copper-orange body, one finger thick offwhite head, nice retention, bits of lacing. Smells of rich pine and a touch of citrus; a bit of pepper, grainy sweet caramel. The hop aromas are actually quite prominent here, which is nice. Flavour is slightly on the sweeter side, a bit more grainy cereal, caramel followed by a pithy citrus and pine bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, good carbonation, mild pine bitterness on the finish. Not too complicated, but a nice and easy drinking IPA for when you're drinking in the yard with a few buddies.

this is definitely my favorite beer from these guys so far, and one of the most interesting and delicious examples of the style i have ever encountered. its clearish, just a little haze here, and a half inch of head. pale and yellow, short of milky, but sedimented a bit. smells amazing, some tartness like this could be semi wild, although it could also be the juiciness of some serious southern hemisphere type hops. amarillo and mosaic and the new zealand ones, maybe some galaxy, tough to tell because there is bitterness too at the end, which is confounding, but its tropical and mouth watering and pungent in the taste too. that this is low alcohol might be my favorite feature though, its so drinkable and interesting, which means i can have it pint after pint and stay engaged. id love to know more about the process. there are throngs of session india pales out there, and very few hit this level of distinction and quality, and i am fascinated by what makes it tart. dry and a bone, but flavorful even after the swallow. one of those beers that would be hyped up like crazy if more folks could get their lips on it. this is one of the best session ipas out there right now, and i wish i had an infinite supply. thanks to drlovemd87 for sharing this undiscovered treasure. this is fully in the A range.
