To reach the giddy heights of Grand Cru, we took our finest beer and aged it in bourbon barrels to let the complexities of its malt composition perfectly marry with the nuances of oak and Kentucky– thus elevating its stature and its bragging rights. Enjoy!
Brewmaster Notes: Belgian strong ale. Pours golden amber with reddish hues. A complex mixture of flavors including malt, citrus and bourbon with a pleasant bitter finish.

Pours a slightly hazy caramel colored brew with a nice two finger head and medium carbonation. Aroma is bourbon, wood and grapes. Taste is on the lighter side of moderate, quick and clean with bourbon, wood and a bright taste hard to discern but very like caramel. ABV is definitely there. ABV is on the "this is not for the faint of heart" scale.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'BORN ON: 04/11/22'. Label is marked for ABV% as 10.3%.
Clear, medium amber colored body. Tidy, small bubble off white head. Leaves behind a tiny wall of lacing.
Aroma is bourbon soaked raisins, toffee, and oak.
Taste is sweet bourbon, with some later citrus notes. Raisins and dates, and oak. Toffee in the aftertaste.
Thicker than medium mouth feel. Drying because of the higher ABV%, but not burning. Very good carbonation.
Like a bourbon infused quad. Great as a sipper or as a food pairing with a rich dessert (pecan pie).

Poured 500ml bottle into snifter. Bottled on 1/26/16. It is a muddy amber color with a sandy 1 finger head. Small spots of lacing and a thin collar. Aroma is sweet and lightly spiced. Plenty of caramel, toffee, and bread with hints of vanilla. Flavor is big on the caramel and toffee. There is a bit of vanilla an bourbon with just a touch of clove, banana bread, and spicy hops. This is a very flavorful beer. It is medium with a slight syrup like feel and light carbonation. I really enjoyed this and it is still on shelves for $6.99. It is nothing like Duvel or other Strong Pale Ales. It reminds me more of an Old Stock with a pleasant barrel presence.
