decent yellow drinker here, not as clear and bright and refined as the best of these, but it smells and tastes the part, goes down easy, and offers a bit more flavor than just a blonde or something, has a lagered crispness, and isnt too light for winter drinking. golden in color with a short white head on it and a little chill haze, head falls quick but the bubbles are there the whole time. aroma does show some german malts, bready and a touch sweet to me here, minerals make an impact, very subtle floral character to the yeast and a faint astringency as well, not flawed but not crazy clean to me here either. the flavor follows, light citrus fruitiness from the hop addition, an old worldy yeast with a light ester to it, dough and white bread, slate minerality, light lemon as it warms, off dry cereal character, it comes together well and despite being dry and drinkable is also a little more substantial than some of these. not my favorite of the beers we had in here, the many many beers we had in here, but a worthwhile effort just the same. this place is wonderful, maybe my favorite of all our beer destinations when we were in green bay!
