From notes. Tasted on draft at Hinterland Milwaukee. Pours clear dark amber with a thick tan head that leaves heavy lace. The nose is sweet vanilla and cinnamon oak with a slight smokiness and caramel malt underlying. The flavor starts with the malt notes and a slight acidity, moving onto vanilla and a charred smoky flavor. The sweetness is more present on the nose than the palate. The body is fairly light with decently heavy carbonation and a long charred and somewhat hot finish.
