"FIT" Toceno (on-tap) on draught @ the Shanghai restaurant location in Podgorica. Cost was 1.35 euro per .5 litre pour.
A run of the mill stale pale lager with a typical white cap and pale copper body. Smells of stale barley and bottom of the line malts and tastes similar, with a highly carbonated mildly smooth mouthfeel which lacks softness but not body. Cheap pils malts and a handful of generic floral hops (no doubt meant purely as a preservative) comprise the entirety of the flavour profile.
I went out of my way to try this in Podgorica; I'd caution others from doing the same (stick to the macrobrewed lagers in supermarkets - they're cheaper and better). Not undrinkable, but hardly worth trying.
At least it's not watery or metallic.
D- (1.84) / AVOID
