Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, cinnamon, some lactose. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Pour is brown, like coffee with a little cream. A novel breakfast/dessert beer that's heavier on chocolate flavor than it is on cinnamon. A little surprising since the beer is conditioned on...you guessed it....Cinnamon Toast Crunch. With the lactose addition to milk stout this is a pretty tasty liquid cereal experience. Only thing missing is the Crunch.

The concept seems like breakfast for dessert. The pint can's contents have been emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The head is substantial, biege and appears to be enduring. Beneath it, there's a typical stout with the familiar black coffee brown color. There's some sweetness in the aroma, likely the lactose and some cinnamon as well. Still, there's that roasted barley malt character expected from a good stout. It doesn't taste too sweet, nor too cinnamony. This is a mildly flavored milk stout and that is probably for the better. Cinnamon toast breakfast cereals are usually predominantly oaty and that, with the lactose makes this acceptably smooth. But, for a milk stout, it isn't anything more than acceptably smooth. Maybe it's the Cinnamon spice inclusion, but there are smoother stouts in general. Also, the body runs a little thinly. Again, it makes it to the acceptable level, but no more. Surprising, for a milk stout. The glass lacing is scant. Overall, it probably isn't wrong to expect a little more than this. More added flavors, more body and more smoothness would not be an outrageous request. It's not necessarily bad, it just doesn't deliver as much as would be expected.
