I've visited Ballast Point in Temecula several times to pick up some fresh beer. It's been pretty mellow the few times I've been there and the staff are really cool. I've never felt like staying as it doesn't seem like a family atmosphere. I've never ordered any food from the place either, one day, I'd like to stay, have a few beers, and enjoy some food but due to the atmosphere I'll have to wait until my family feels comfortable staying and eating.

Temecula's brewing district seems to be concentrated west of I-15, so it's natural that Ballast Point opened a taproom along this stretch of land. Ample parking and easy to spot signage from the street make Ballast Point easy to approach for this first timer. The interior brings a large "U" shaped bar filled with lots of tap, a second floor, a dining room, and a comfortable outdoor patio with tables, cover, and a large firepit.

Plenty of servers at both the bar and floating around tables. It's easy to find someone to get you a drink, and as well someone who can guide you to what you should drink next. With nearly 40 different taps and all Ballast Point beer, I was very overwhelmed at first. The classics like Black Marlin and Calico Amber were pouring, as well as many variants of their lineup, including Cantaloupe Big Eye, Passionfruit Grunion, Coffee Sculpin, Barrel Aged Piper Down. Having my share of beers earlier in the day, I drank what I could without wrecking my judgement. Pours are very reasonably prices, are served in stunning Ballast Point chalices with proper head, and it was fun to experiment with a few of Ballast Point's variants.

A limited food menu is available, as well as a small merchandise shop which sells glassware, fridge magnets, and shirts, and more. While Ballast Point doesn't have roots within Temecula, it still offers one heck of an experience.

Stop in today to take a flight, got three beers, 2 out of the three were good, I just did not dig the third one. I got an appetizer plate. The appetizer was good and at an excellent price point. The servers here was super friendly made my experience that much better. The place was buzzing with excitement and happy customers. I really enjoyed my visit and will return.
