this looks like a rotating series of adjunct pales that feature some pretty cool ingredients. this one has coconut and pineapple in it to mimic the classic tropical drink, and the execution, like so many of the highly ambitious brews in here, is on point. its a really solid but very basic pale ale at its core, nothing real interesting happening with the malt bill here, and the hops are quite reserved, complimentary in complexion to the additives, but well out of the way for the style. the pineapple tastes really fresh to me and is in front of the coconut here, sweet and juicy and very florida, with the natural mild coconut in behind it, fleshy and natural, a little sweet on its own but not toasted or baked to me, some pine and citrus from the hops really complimenting both of these in the finish. it is a touch sweet, and the flavors are really bold in here, but its still refreshing and its very unique because of how robust it is. not forced or artificial at all, which is hard to do with these ingredients. overall a great glass of beer, usually i am not a huge fan of flavored pales, but this one is excellent. would love to try some others in this series...
