a blonde ale with lemongrass and ginger, highly drinkable and refreshing, but not quite as compelling as some of the other flavored beers we had in here. the ginger and lemongrass are both quite forward in here, at once spicy and herbaceous, intense but quenching, the issue for me is how light the base beer is, and how irrelevant it might be without these additives giving it depth and life. its really thin, and despite great carbonation, there isnt quite enough character here for me, especially after having a few of their cream ales in here, which hit all the marks for drinkability and mouthfeel, this seems less well rounded. that said, the lemongrass is really natural and there is quite a lot of it, almost tastes like a sprite soda for a moment, and then a sprite blended with ginger ale when that element fires up. its good thats its on the dry side, and its a nice combination of flavors, but a little more malt character in flavor and feel would improve this for me. the lightest selection we tried here, should have wide appeal in warm weather...
