Everyone loves a late night snack of milk and cookies - but what’s tastier than milk? BEER! The label was inspired by laying in the grass and looking up at the stars and the milky way!

A- This one comes out of the can a medium-dark brownish color and I'd say is pretty clear during the pour. The head is around two fingers in thickness, and has a cookie dough tan color, and for once in a few reviews, I am greeted with a head that retains well, slowly settling into a puffy thick layer over top the liquid, and for what it's worth, the lacing is equally as good, with plenty of sticky sweet proteins clinging to the inside of my tulip....there is even some very fine grit sticking to the glassware...is this the lactose I'm seeing? Cannot tell what is happening with the carbonation, however, I do feel that it is creamy and tight, as I'm not seeing any major popping action.

S- There is a chocolatey sweetness about the aroma, with underlying notes of mocha coffee, chocolate chip cookies, yeast, sweet creamy lactose sugars, vanilla creme truffle filling, and some slight darker tones near the finish, of muted charred Earth, slightly bitter dark toasty malts, and and ever so slight hint of balancing hop cone.

T- The flavors are nice, and follow the aromas somewhat directly, with a mainly sweet base of chocolate, creamed coffee, vanilla, sweet cookie dough, alongside toasted Earth, cocoa powder, cooked dark toffee/blackstrap molasses and an Earthy bitter finish that balances everything out. My only complaint with the taste is that throughout, I'm getting a sort of weird metallic flavor that while it doesn't damage the overall character, it is noticeable enough to write about.

M/O- The mouthfeel leans more into the lighter side of things, and the carbonation is more aggressive than I would have imagined as well....both features that don't take away from anything, just not what I thought based on how it looked. I do like the alcoholic presence being lower, which keeps this a drinkable sweet stout. I'd have this again I think, and while its not the best version of the style out there, its decent. Cheers!
