Collaboration with Barrier Brewing Company
We are stoked to release our collaboration with long time friends and Long Island’s finest Barrier Brewing Company. Money IPA is a go to beer. So making Mad Fat Money with our homies was a huge honor. We mashed up Mad Fat Fluid and Money and the resulting IPA is a golden tropical citrus, bomb of an IPA.

Sure, this beer was old but it was next up on my Interboro brews that I had to get through and this collab with barrier had a pretty snazzy label, down to the font found on U.S. money. The liquid on the inside of the can wasn't bad but it didn't quite measure up to their better offerings. Much of that was my fault for not getting to this sooner though there wasn't any sediment or floaties in it...
This had a decent pour to it as the beer was an opaque goldenrod with just a hint of sediment floating in it. Lots of lacing was left behind from the steady head as that turned out to be this brew's best attribute. Lots of melon, grapefruit, and funky earthiness in the slightly unusual nose as the liquid was a bit more juicy and slick. White cheese, sour funk, white grape, and onion coming into play in the taste as the funk really kicked in once this warmed up. The back of this was pure Wild Ale as the beer seemed like it had Brett yeast in it, to shake things up...
The alcohol was well-hidden here as I couldn't taste or detect it in any way. A slight warming effect kicked in but the floral and minty aftertaste was what stayed with me once this went down. Canned on 4/27 of least year with "LUCINI POURIN'" written above it, This was worthy of the Mad Fat monkier but in the end, still had me wanting it to show me the money...

A: The beer is very hazy pale dark yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy and tropical fruit hops are present in the nose.
T: As in the smell, the taste is very fruity and has flavors of honeydew melon, lemon
and mango. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With a lack of bitterness and crispness, this tastes and feels like a New England-style IPA. The flavors are somewhat weak compared to the top beers in this style.

Still pretty good even though it's almost 2 months old (canned 4/27)
L - Slight gold haze with a tiny bit of head
S - Very citrusy with some pine
T - Has some sweetness accompanied by the citrus fruits
F - Moderate bitterness, goes down easy
Nothing to rave about but a solid IPA
