Picked this beer up when it was released at Interboro last year, finally getting around to it this week along with the other beers from them that I've had sitting around for too long. Like Greenpoint, I feel like these guys are under the radar and I'm incredibly blessed to be able to obtain their offerings so easily. This was one of their more "textbook" examples of how they take on an American Double / Imperial IPA and given how fast it flew out of my pint glass, I'd say that this was a rousing success!
Good pour to this as the beer was a muted but subtly radiant goldenrod with plenty of head to top it off. Disappointed in how little lacing was left behind as it was nearly impossible to find on the side of my pint glass as I worked my way through this. Not a bad aroma but the range of flavors was odd as this had grass, dank hops, weed, and bitter chocolate in the nose as the taste was just as dank, dark, and murky. A massive, dank and tropical mouthfeel kicked in once I tasted this as this beer felt like it's ripeness was well in the past. A slickness full of resin and orange rind was what saved this from being truly bizarre while pulling me in at the same time. Dated 7/13 with "EVEN MADDER EVEN FATTER" written under it, the mouthfeel of this beer had a feel of honey but was just too heavy and dank to be great, resulting a brew that was deviant but captivating at the same time...
The amount of booze here was enough as it could be felt before I finished this off but didn't detract from the heavy notes and feel of this. While not bad, this came across as a bit of a contrived gimmick that was just a bit forced when all was said and done. I love Interboro and what I've had from them but this beer wasn't worth it, but only by a small margin. Any fans of theirs would be wise to seek this out and give it a shot, only to see what they need to do to reach elite status. It's within reach and if this beer was tweaked a bit, would be an example of how good they could truly be...

Can dated 7/13/17 poured into a large tulip. Look is hazy yellow with some orage, almost looks just like orange juice! The smell is candied oranges and grapefruit, some light crackery malt and dank. Taste is a big punch of citrus moving to sweet malts finishing witj spicy hops and dank. The feel is full and slick with a nice bite in the back! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this DDH DIPA!

Opaque orange-yellow with a bubbly, bright white foam.
This smells and tastes like Trillium--100% of the way!
Smell is cracker, lemon, orange, kiwi with sharp and tangy yeast. Complexity continues with dankness, eucalyptus, wet wood, wild mint and allium.
Taste mirrors the nose very nicely, with a little more cracker, lemon, yeast and weed. Additionally there's a spicy pepperiness and a little heat.
Crisp, medium to thin body, with a semi-dry finish.

Boom. Pungent dank/floral aroma pops out of a tulip glass. This is delicious. A bit of some boozyness to contend with but not enough to take away from this flavor. Great stuff Interboro!
