Picked this up at Interboro last year when it was first released, as the date on the bottom of the can read 7/27 with "DDH DOUBLE HIGH DROPPED" above it. While not as lofty as it's rating on here would indicate, this was a solid that might have been the epitome of what Interboro had, and still has, to offer!
Good pour to this as the liquid was a translucent apricot in hue with a moderately sufficient head to top it off. Spotty clumps of thin lacing were left behind but given that this beer wasn't that thick, that didn't come across as terribly surprising. Lots of yeast, grass, apricot, peach, and Citra Hops in the subdued nose though they really exploded in the taste. The Vienna and Wheat Malts really emerged on the palate as this was full-bodied, full-flavored, and wonderfully balanced. A juicy slickness and earthy aftertaste were evidence that the Citra, Galaxy, and Cascade Hops were in perfect harmony as the lupulin powder kept this fresh and smooth. Mild grassy and earthy notes kept this grounded and countered the range of flavors that made this quite lofty in it's aspirations...
This was strong enough without having the alcohol overpower everything else. While not a big improvement over the original, I liked this because it had so much going for it while not seeming overly complicated. Not Interboro's best but it's one of their more solid brews that deserved a higher rating and higher amount of reviews on here - it's that good and proof that even today, that this brewery is still a bit under the proverbial radar.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
