Golden haze with white head. Dank grapefruit mango aromas with stone fruit and citrus nectar, round mouthfeel with assertive bitterness. Brewed with English Pale and wheat malts. Fermented with American Ale yeast, hopped with Ahtanum, Centennial & Simcoe.

Picked this up at Interboro a while ago, as the date on the bottom of the can was from 8/9 of last year with "DDH DOUBLE HIGH DROPPED" written below it. Loved the regular version of this and as was to be expected, this was better and had a lot going for it; even though I let this sit for a bit too long!
Not a bad pour to this as the beer was quite hazy and murky, a deep and muted off-gold, and topped off with a lively head that settled at a normal clip. One ring of lacing could easily be discerned near the top of my pint glass as there were various appearances of rings below it that bled into into the next ones. The aroma wasn't strong but it was pleasing - lot of wheat, passion fruit, lychee, and a bit of muted tropical fruit as it pulled me in. All of those were present on the taste with tons of malt, juicy slickness, dank melon, and fruit rind right behind those, as this had a wonderfully full and full-flavored feel. Dank pink grapefruit and pineapple came in in the back as this warmed up, as the beer went down so easily...
There was just a tad too much booze in this but it wasn't a deterrent and the minty, piney aftertaste was a nice cap to this brew. Interboro's killing it right now and this beer was a great example why that's the case. Fun stuff worthy of this brew's moniker and ingredients!
