Enjoyed from a can purchased on release day.
Look: Jet black liquid, not syrup-like at all. Nice foam head, creamy beige appearance.
Smell: Bitter, oily, tart, semi-sweet. I'm thinking a chocolate covered cherry with an espresso bean inside.
Taste: Sugars upfront, cherry, orange, maple, toasted nuts. Coffee and whiskey on the finish. Opens nicely.
Feel: strong bite at first that fades off. Alcohol is present, but still smooth. Amazing aftertaste.
Overall: This is a very obscure brew. It has an overpowering bitter taste upfront due to the fruit and hops, but a very pleasant and smooth aftertaste of coffee and chocolate. It tastes like a chocolate covered cherry with a coffee bean inside. covered in orange syrup.
