Imperial IPA brewed with equal parts German Heidelberg and English oat malts and lactose, hopped with tons with Azacca, Comet and Galaxy and double dry-hopped with even more of each again. Fermented with our house yeast blend.

I had this beer on tap after having a very good black IPA and then followed two chalices up with and American IPA and a Long Island city beer project IPA. Te others were good but this Imperial was great!

Tall can, I see no canning date/freshness info.
Nice looking NEIPA, hazed up pour, fluffy and soft khaki cap.
Ripe bananas, mango and pineapple on the sniff.
Taste follows the sniff with more ripe, soft and tasty tropical fruits coming to mind. Slight note of gin/alcohol on the top of the mouth. Smooth and basically delicious...go get some of this headyand well crafted nectar...

A: The beer is rather hazy amber orange in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left some specks of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and bits of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of mangos and peaches are present in the nose along with hints of lactose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of lactose along with notes of mangos and peaches. No bitterness is perceptible and only faint traces of alcohol are noticeable.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This Imperial IPA does a good job at masking most of the alcohol from the taste. I really enjoyed the combination of lactose with the mangos and peaches.

Yellow-gold and hazy but not not quite opaque under a finger or two of white head... Featuring Azacca, Comet, and Galaxy hops, and lactose; double dry hopped... Second canning of this beer, canned 10/25/18... Has a lemony-tropical fruit blend of flavors, with similar fruit and flower aromas on the nose... Sweet, just mildly bitter, smooth, full-bodied... Unfortunately, my initial impressions were reminiscent of a Luden's lemon cough drop, which is cool if you like that, but despite my best attempts to get past it, that was the profile that stuck with me - and no, I'm not a fan of Luden's lemon cough drops lol... I'll allow that this may just be a personal association that got stuck on my palate, and maybe my palate was off to begin with, or maybe the beer just wasn't what my palate wanted at the moment - so, I'm hedging my scores a bit to reflect that the beer is probably better than I experienced today...

From a can purchased at Jersey City Wine and Spirits.
My first impression is that it's too sweet. There is added lactose here and I am unsure, at this time, about the utility of its presence.
This brew clocks in at 10.8% alcohol, so the wisdom of the added sugar becomes apparent. It does not taste like something that strong, and it doesn't have that ham fistedness that malt liquors have when trying to mask the alcohol content with added sugar.
I was hoping for something drier but I'm enjoying this serving of beer.

Appearance is like a straw-colored smoothie. Lots of fine off-white head, bringing it to somewhat resembling one of those Jell-O squares with the foamy top. For starters, it looks delicious.
Continuing on, it smells delicious. And there are so many scents: pineapple, papaya, guava, orange, lemon, freshly cut grass, and I must be missing a few more. At the end, powdered sugar shows up.
And as for the main thing, it actually is delicious. There's less of the fruits, although there's plenty of sweet banana and slightly bitter orange, but it's very savory. The main taste is a bit unique. I'd call it almond and walnut sugars, although lacking any toasty character. Fresh grass is still there, along with some moss. High intensity and mellow, which a difficult combination to pull off.
My mouth literally starts to water when I take a slug. Very smooth, easy to consume accidentally quickly. Although it's sugary, it's not overly sticky, as sometimes happens. Carbonation is present, but it's very well integrated and extremely fine. A little welcome bitterness shows up in the aftertaste.
