Looking for real love? You've found it here although it might not be what you expect. No, this beer may not love you back but everything about it was easy to fall in love with. From the purple label, the design aesthetic from Interboro that I've come to expect, the lovely pour, the smooth and enjoyable taste, and subtle warming throughout, everything about this beer was well done and easy to enjoy. The fact that it took until the following Valentine's Day to get around it was the unexpected icing on the cake for me!

Nothing was written on the bottom of the can but this edition was not the same as the first that was released the year before. The hops were different and less people had this one, although it seemed every bit as good as the first! The cloudy, golden pour was plenty hazy and topped off with enough head to complement the liquid. Most of the lacing was near the top as the deep, rocky ring faded as it bled down. Plenty of earthiness, deep citrus, cream, and hop smoothness was in the nose as the taste was just as varied, bright, and sweet. The wheat gave it body and helped to soften any potential blow as the malt was spot-on and held the watermelon and strawberry in check. A bit of them could be felt but their contribution to this beer was less in the taste and more of the outdoorsy, fruit patch-feel that I felt as this warmed up and in the aftertaste...

Enough booze was in here and it could have been toned down a notch although it was certainly never a deterrent. Enough juicy slickness coated my mouth as the carbonation was present, but not strong to overpower the range of flavors that made this beer so fun. I wish that more people knew about and rated Interboro too - they certainly deserve any real love that's thrown their way!

Cloudy sunkist appearance. Spotty, snowy lacing. Sublime aroma and tasting. Papayas, orange clove, pears and watermelon jolly ranchers. Very smooth sweetness. Grapes and a Belgian banana-bubblegum quality. Very clean presentation, medium body, dry and minimal lasting sweetness.
