If you are CANming late to today's show, The CANQuest (tm) would like to provide the following recap of recent events as a PSA. In CAN effort to close out Untappd's "Better Together" badge, The CANQuest (tm) assembled all of the collaboration beers (& otherwise) from Barrier BC in his extensive backlog & systematically eradicated them through perseverance, reviews & ratings, CANminating last night. The next brewery in line for this treatment is Interboro, also noted for CANned CANlaboration beers and also with a large backlog presence.
From the CAN: "Imperial India Pale Ale"; "Interboro x Civil Society"; "Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Civil Society Brewing Company".
I CAN only surmise that they no longer want me to come and visit. 8=( I'm just gonna show up anyway! It's not like I have never done so.
I was a little overzealous in my Crack! & Glug on this one, due to an overwhelming Hops Jones. That previous AIS was perfect for smoothing out my head, but it did nothing for me in the way of hops. I unleashed this bad boy with a madd Crack! & a heavy-handed Glug, producing two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with excellent retention. I could still see it hanging in as I typed! 8=O Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was … Fresher?!? Solid mint, baby! Pine, spearmint, menthol, eucalyptus, fresh snow on a frigid morning. 8=O It smelled like a pine tree air freshener! You'll find one in every car - you'll see. Mouthfeel was big, thick, full, CANother dollop having been scooped into my mouth and onto my tongue! 8=O Taste was unrelenting cool mint, Cool Breeze! This was it - the beer of my hophead dreams! Not too bitter, not at all sweet, but cool & minty throughout. Top to bottom, stem to stern, port and starboard, fore and aft, it was bringing the mint! Don't mistake this for dank, either. This was not that. Instead, this was The Battle of the Bulge, rockets and shells falling along with snow in the midst of a pine forest! I'm talking pine sap, yo! Every inhalation following the swallow was like smoking a menthol cigarette. I was never much of a smoker (except stogies), but I understood why menthols were popular. Heck, my late-Pops used to smoke Carlton Menthols by the carton. It gave me a renewed sense of joie de vivre in the age of COVID-19!I have something to live for! Whaddya mean, it's retired?!? Bump THAT noise! I'm gonna shake the recipe outta those boys on my visit, whenever that CAN happen. Finish was dry, but not bitter, just very smooth & cool. This should be drank while listening to some Barry White. YMMV.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
