Collaboration with WeldWerks Brewing Co.
Madder Fatter Juicier is that old school, Grand St. style juice. Brewed in collaboration with our friends at WeldWerks Brewing. We wanted to make a beer that would honor the classic Northern Colorado IPAs we all grew up drinking, but still taste juicy AF for all the new school hop heads from NY to NoCO. Brewed with a blend English Pale and continental Pils with heavy additions of oats and wheat plus a sprinkle of Munich malt for color and sweetness. Hopped in the kettle with Chinook, Cascade Centennial, dry hopped with Citra & Columbus, double dry hopped with Citra Lupulin dust. Aromas of dank pineapple, and dank resinous melon. Fermented with English ale yeast.
37 IBU

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 03/27/19
My first from this brewery.
Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, melon, mango, peach), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, melon, mango, peach), nice little sweetness, pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here.

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware.
Nose is melon, mango, citrus and unripened cantaloupe. Solid. Unique. Beer opens aluminum, mango, cantaloupe and citrus. A little strange. The juiciness is there but it's not a fruit characteristic that I can easily pinpoint. Pineapple and more citrus towards the middle with a sappy astringency at the end. Not bad. The hop characteristic here is really unique. Body is light to medium with moderate carbonation. A bit prickly on the palate and goes down sparkling and crisp. Lingering, messy aftertaste.
One of the more unique NE IPAs I've had. Pretty good.

From a 16oz can. Very much a West Coast meets NE IPA. Pours an amber-orange color with a little haziness. Lots and lots of dank notes on the nose and palate. More hoppy/malty/resinous than citrus. Well-crafted for the described goal.

Canned 10 days ago.
Pours semi-hazy amber-orange with a wispy white head and lacing.
The nose is dank and catty. Old school C hops and subtle citrus.
The taste is pineapple, orange, and bitter pine.
The mouthfeel opens medium and juicy then dries out.
Overall, nice. An old-meets-new DIPA.
