If you are CANming late to today's show, The CANQuest (tm) would like to provide the following recap of recent events as a PSA. In CAN effort to close out Untappd's "Better Together" badge, The CANQuest (tm) assembled all of the collaboration beers (& otherwise) from Barrier BC in his extensive backlog & systematically eradicated them through perseverance, reviews & ratings, CANminating last night. The next brewery in line for this treatment is Interboro, also noted for CANned CANlaboration beers and also with a large backlog presence.
From the CAN: "Double Dry Hopped IPA"; "Interboro x Equilibrium"; "Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Equilibrium Brewing"; "Come Visit Us and Our Tasting Room".
I beCAN with a Crack! of the vent, followed by a slow, gentle C-Line Glug, but once I realized that any hope of/for clarity was hopeless, I let it run freely into the awaiting glass. This resulted in the formation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with very good retention. It slowly fell away, leaving loads of lacing in its wake. I spent the time gazing into its Yellow-Golden (SRM = 4 - 5) deep-haziness/light-cloudiness & I thank whoever transcribed the Notes. The data helps & I was close on the SRM while theirs was probably taken with a calibrated instrument, not my eyes through bifocal lenses. Nose was very tropical, but with the addition of coconut! I swear it. I love coconut, but I know that not everyone does. I miss the Tropical Fruit Life Savers roll that included coconut. I would trade others for theirs, freely giving of mango, papaya & guava. I'd kinda happily do that with some of these solely tropical IPAs. J/S. Mouthfeel was solidly medium with an oily slickness on the tongue. The taste had a kind of odd tang to it, not bitter per se, but slightly tart & lemony. It was more citrusy - lemon, grapefruit, some orange/tangerine than tropical, although I got that also. Finish was very dry, still slightly tart, not a "chore", but not really my cuppa.
This struck me as a strange little duck & I'd like to piggyback on something that @Lone_Freighter said - it could easily be classified as a Belgian IPA, IMHO. It does not fit perfectly in its current style, but it would fare better as something else. I'm so CANfounded. I didn't outright dislike it, but I didn't enjoy it as much the current Rating indicates that others did. Did I miss something? Has COVID-19 isolation ruined me? I CAN't say, but excuse my numbers all the same. YMMV.

Thought this was an AIPA and opted for a becher pint glass.
There's some sort of canning date on the bottom that says something about a "4" and a "17." Other than that, I'm starting to wonder at those who put canning dates on beers, (dude - you had one job, really?).
Anyways, the appearance was a beautiful looking burnt orange to yellow color with a one finger's worth of white foamy head softly dissipating to leave some concave lace.
The aroma spoke volumes of sweet pineapple chunks throttling themselves into some lemon pulp and rind then a light fresh semi-pine contour. Vidalia onion further underneath (but now I'm stretching just a wee little bit).
The flavor leaned towards the sweet end with a developing bitterness as it warms. Ends up having an incredible balance between the pineapple, lemon pulp & rind, and pine. Semi-sticky aftertaste of piney hops, pineapple and fresh airy lemon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Some dryness roams around my tongue but seems quaint. Subtle dryness in the finish with some sticky pineapple, lemon pulp and pine.
Overall, daggum, what an absolutely amazing IPA - is it an AIPA or a New England styled one? Hell, if I know, just know I want more of this.

Tap, ckt. Mistake pour was better. Go figure.
This is light and lemony. A touch tart.
Clear yellow. Ok white head.
Foamy finish with veggie, baking soda.
Glad I got the full pour of vic secret by mistake.

Canned 4-17-19
L: Hazy, light orange. Nice foamy head that dissipates quickly. Light lacing.
S: Orange, melon and fruity. Didn't get any dank aroma's, but it smell real good.
T: Stone fruit up front, light citrus and fruit.
F: Not a huge fan of the MF. Nestled between light-medium. Quite a bit of carbonation, and a late kick of unexpected bitterness that pierces the overall taste, then hangs on.
O: Great aroma.. the highlight of this beer. It tasted like a bitter NEIPA at times, but the bitterness not letting go was a little odd.

Very nice, solid take on the contemporary IPA with lovely nose and flavors, seems in keeping with other hoppy Interboro beers I’ve had. This one is a little let down by the body and feel, it’s just a bit on the light and fizzy side. Nothing egregious but it becomes a bit of a chore to get through by the end of the glass. Was hoping for something world class from this collaboration but this is merely good.

Pours a lighter, hazed yellow with a bigger, bubbly head.
Smells heavenly of fresh cut lime, pineapples and wet grass. Offers additional layers of ripe mango, peaches and young apricots. The dryhopping adds a beautiful hop complexity to the nose, making this appear way bolder than its 6.5 abv.
Has a slightly creamy, lighter mouthfeel with a decent carbonation to it, creating a very nice refreshment.
Tastes of flowery and bitter lime, also featuring some passionfruit, strawberries and blueberries. Adds additonal papaya and kiwi, among a lighter note of cakey caramel malts, blending directly into the hops, creating a fantastic complexity. Finishes slightly bitter but more on the fruitier side, ending with oranges, dough coated lime and a creamy softness.
Great ipa with an awesome balance and intensity to it, getting even better due to its creamy mouthfeel.
