- Barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout Coffee Blend. can 12%.
A: A very audible and fizzy dark sienna head is one half inch above a inky black colored body The head lapses to a encircling ring around the vessel. Rapid sense of micro effervesce.
S: A very nice and complex aroma overall. Light smokey scotch/bourbon scent mixes well with freshly grounded coffee beans.Vanilla creamer and dark fruit highlights of moderate awareness. Wet burnt firewood, boozy hersey chocolate sweetness that really comes through with proper warming. Dark plums, roasted barley bitterness, silty smokey scent over some charred caramel rounds out.
T: The flavor highlighted some charred barrel wood and smokey dried dark fruit of plums and deep roasted coffee. Earthy wet soot, roasted barley and smokey charred goodness. Spicy licorice, oily roast and bourbon vanilla highlights.
M: Thick and chewy oats provide a silky smooth texture, full bodied with a warming of roasty coffee beans. Smooth, spicy alcohol but still well below the sensory of reported 12%.
O: The alcohol is very well blended and balanced, with smokey charred notes and a rich, oily roastiness along with shades of scotch/bourbon alcohol. Very drinkable.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of cocoa are present in he initial aromas, which are followed by notes of red wine.
T: The taste follows the smell, but the flavors of cocoa and red wine are a little more incorporated through the taste, with the cocoa being a touch stronger. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is exceptionally drinkable considering its strength and seems like something that is more like 8% abv, not 12% abv.
