If you are CANming late to today's show, The CANQuest (tm) would like to provide the following recap of recent events as a PSA. In CAN effort to close out Untappd's "Better Together" badge, The CANQuest (tm) assembled all of the collaboration beers (& otherwise) from Barrier BC in his extensive backlog & systematically eradicated them through perseverance, reviews & ratings, CANminating last night. The next brewery in line for this treatment is Interboro, also noted for CANned CANlaboration beers and also with a large backlog presence.
From the CAN: "Double Dry Hopped Double India Pale Ale"; "Interboro x Sand City"; "Brewed in collaboration with our friends from Sand City".
I CAN only surmise that they no longer want me to come and visit. 8=( I'm just gonna show up anyway! It's not like I have never done so.
The Crack! of the vent was not only nice & loud in the ever-increasing silence, but it released a spritz across my fingertips due to being a brimful craft CANlaboration CAN! My excitement was such that I went with the Barista Glug, a slow, gentle C-Line pour, but from such distance as possible without spoiling the aim. 8=O This resulted in two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention, but also … Ah, let's come back to that. I watched in rapt fascination as the head slowly, almost reluctantly fell, leaving loads of lacing as its legacy. Color was a deep Gold, solid 24K (SRM = 5) & I have never seen The Gelt Gang of Midas, Mammon & Croesus arrive so swiftly or be as passionate about getting a taste! Winner. I waited my turn & leaned in for a sniff before proceeding. Ho! It smelled like I had just taken a fresh delivery of dank! 8=O Phew! If this is what they are doing on Long Island, NY, I may not return from my upcoming visit! Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but on the approach. The taste had a tangy tropical fruitiness which beat being beaten about the head & shoulders with the usual tropical fruit sweetness. Now, then, by "tang", I do NOT mean "tart". It just had a sharper tropical fruit quality than usual. The ABV was incredibly well hidden, making it a dangerous little beast at 8%. I was nearly halfway into this one before it even ocCANurred to me to look! Finish was dry, thanks again to that tanginess. If I see this again, I am buying some for an oriental meal that involves fish. It would be great with salmon, IMHO. YMMV.

From 16 oz can dated 06/11/19. Pours a straw gold and mostly clear. Nice tropical notes on the nose, and plenty of hoppy bitterness on the palate. A tasty brew.
