Got a 4-pack of cans and didn't look at the date until I got home. Was bummed to see they were canned over 3 months ago. But the beer has held up remarkably well, with no hint of any kind of fall off. Just a great hazy IIPA that really expresses the Galaxy hop well.

Well, it finally happened. After a CANcerted effort on my part, The CANQuest (tm) has now exhausted its backlog of Interboro CANlaboration CANs! No problem, though, as there is still a huge backlog to run through, including Interboro-only beers, CANtinuing with this one. Onwards!
From the CAN: "Double Dry Hopped Double India Pale Ale"; "Come Visit Us and Our Tasting Room".
I was very curious about this one, even before the Crack!ing open of the vent. Was it yet CANother Hazebro? A S.M.A.S.H.? What would the future bring? I CANmenced a slow, gentle C-Line Glug in order to find out, but my desire for clarity was futile. 8=( At that juncture, I decided to allow it to do its own thing & free-flow into the awaiting glass. It than saw fit to erupt in order to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with great retention, refusing to fall. 8=( I quickly backed off & went into some quiet CANtemplation, giving it some settling time. I just was not up for it. Nose was tropical (duh!), but where I was expecting a cloying sweetness (whoops, that's Mosaic), this had a very pleasant pineapple quality with the other fruits in subordination. Pineapple is NOT sweet, but a semi-tart tropical flavor. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was all I needed - mostly pineapple with the other tropical fruits trailing its wake. Mmm. I won't lie & call it "mellow", but it was a lot more towards a hop tea than I had experienced for a while. Man, I CAN fully get behind something like this. Finish was semi-dry & while not "mellow", it was really pleasant and soothing. Have I mentioned how much I dig hops? Phew. YMMV.

Pours a hazy yellow orange color. A well retaining moussy head also displays sticky lacing. A good look overall.
Aromas of soft tropical fruit, citrus and stone fruit. Notes of mango, touch of pineapple, passion fruit, peach, and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Medium bodied with a soft and smooth mouthfeel and gentle carbonation. The hops forward taste imparts a juicy, yet not overly sweet flavors. Notes mango, passion fruit and peach are balanced by the zesty and pithy flavors of grapefruit and orange. A creamy oats backbone contributes to the soft mouthfeel, while the hops bitterness is quite low; instead, there is a touch of peppery and grassy spice. I’m also wondering if there is a bit of lactose, as this has a bit of a milkshake feel. Finally, I’m impressed that at 8% ABV you cannot taste a trace of alcohol.
This beer makes good use of the galaxy hops flavors. My only qualm is that I feel like the frothy and ultra soft mouthfeel could have used a bit of crispness.
