Well, it finally happened. After a CANcerted effort on my part, The CANQuest (tm) has now exhausted its backlog of Interboro CANlaboration CANs! No problem, though, as there is still a huge backlog to run through, including Interboro-only beers, CANtinuing with this one. Onwards!
From the CAN: "Double Dry Hopped Double India Pale Ale"; "Come Visit Us and Our Tasting Room".
I was very curious about this one, even before the Crack!ing open of the vent. Was it yet CANother Hazebro? A S.M.A.S.H.? What would the future bring? I CANmenced a slow, gentle C-Line Glug in order to find out, but my desire for clarity was futile. I then simply allowed it to flow freely into the awaiting glass. I was rewarded with the formation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, soapy, tawny head with very good retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose smelled fruity - mango, papaya & peach, apricot with a cool pine mintiness. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but on the approach. The taste beCAN with a peach-papaya sweetness, but then got overtaken with a pine mintiness & black peppery spiciness. Wow! As it warmed, the flavors really beCAN to meld together into a cool, spicy, fruity beer that was unique in my exbeerience. I am sure that I have had beers with Idaho 7 before, but never by itself. Finish was cool, spicy & dry, just the way that I prefer. YMMV.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
