A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a very cloudy, bright golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of tropical fruits. Taste is very juicy, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, moderate bitterness. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a beer worth trying.

If you are CANming late to today's show, The CANQuest (tm) would like to provide the following recap of recent events as a PSA. In CAN effort to close out Untappd's "Better Together" badge, The CANQuest (tm) assembled all of the collaboration beers (& otherwise) from Barrier BC in his extensive backlog & systematically eradicated them through perseverance, reviews & ratings, CANminating last night. The next brewery in line for this treatment is Interboro, also noted for CANned CANlaboration beers and also with a large backlog presence.

From the CAN: "Double India Pale Ale"; "Interboro x Finback"; "Brewed in collaboration with our friends from Finback Brewery"; "Come Visit Us and Our Tasting Room".

I beCAN with the CANdard Crack! of the vent, followed by a C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. This may seem old hat by now, but I am CANstantly striving for clarity in a hazy world. My efforts are often for naught, as in this case, but it CAN't hurt to try. Once I realized the futility of my situation, I went with the Barista pour, which involves holding the CAN as far up in the air as possible & sending a solid stream downwards into the awaiting glass. As you CAN imagine, this creates massive amounts of head, in this case, two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head that simply died of shock & exhaustion, leaving behind massive lacing as its legacy. Color was a murky, turbid Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4- 5). Nose smelled quite fruity with the Huell Melon giving it a honeydew/CANtaloupe quality to go along with the tropical fruitiness from the Motueka. I hoped that the Cs would become assertive down the line. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but bigger than I was expecting. The taste was a big melon ball, as expected, with a light citrusy spritziness of lemon & grapefruit and surprisingly light tropical fruit. This was a pleasant surprise, given its nose! I really liked the way that the citrus & melon flavors worked together as it warmed (I have started refrigerating some of my on-deck beers thanks to having made space). This was bank, yo! It had a nice melding of flavors throughout, nothing became overwhelming, the alcohol was well-hidden, it just made for a pleasant interlude as I drank it. Finish was semi-dry & while I would have preferred more bitterness, that is my personal taste as well as a minor quibble. YMMV.

Nice look. Scent is that basic(dare I say) slightly sweet citric mix. I wish I had something deeper to say about it. Citrus and some melon with mild hops bitterness and some sweetness to balance. Slight alcohol. I’m liking the flavor on this one. About medium carbonation which works well with the bitter ending.
