Just in time for the shortening days and the falling leaves. Pours golden amber in color with white head. Aromas of classic noble hops, tangy, grassy, slightly herbal, slight sweetness with full body and clean bitter finish. Brewed with Pilsner malt and a touch of munich. Cold fermented with German lager yeast. Hopped exclusively with Tettnang.

A: Pours a relatively clear medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey + apricot + peach + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 15% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of lightly toasted + bready + cereal grain + caramel malts with a very light amount of caramel + grainy + light fruit (green apple + pear) sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of spicy + grassy hops along with light aromas of lager yeast.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of lightly toasted + bready + cereal grain + caramel malts with a very light amount of caramel + grainy + light fruit (green apple + pear) sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of spicy + grassy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which does not linger for too long leaving a relatively clean finish.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively clean in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a decent mouthfeel. A little bit too hoppy for an Oktoberfest in my opinion (could use a bit more malt flavor and aroma).

Pours from can a golden-yellow with a 2" head, solid retention. Nose is fruity esters, fruit cereal, and whiffs of adjuncty lager. Taste leads with lemon, even lemon cleaner, up front, followed by some earthy noble hop bitterness; finishes on the sweeter end, however. Mouthfeel is moderate with balanced carbonation.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has some hues of orange along with a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of grassy and spicy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has light flavors of grassy and spicy hops along with notes of toasted malts. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This Oktoberfest seemed like it could have used more malts as it was very hoppy.

A decent beer , but too hoppy and lacking in Oktoberfest flavor to be called a Fest Bier (IMO). If you like IPAs and Pale Ales, you'll probably enjoy this, but don't expect anything resembling a Hacker-Pshorr, Paulaner, or Ayinger.
