Collaboration with Finback Brewery
We brewed the follow up lager to our last Finback collaboration - Crispy Buoy. For this Helles lager we performed a step mash, in order to fully convert proteins and access all the sugar in the Pilsner and Heidelberg malt bill.

Pours a deep golden. Some good aromatics for a lager, but not teeming. Some nice graham cracker character. Malt forward, crushable. This was quite good.

A: The beer is relatively clear golden yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and a small patch of bubbles on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of bready, grainy, and pilsener malts are present in the nose along with notes of noble hops.
T: The taste has flavors of bready and pilsener malts along with hints of floral and grassy hops, the latter of which contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I didn't find this beer to be as "bright" compared to other Helles Lagers, but it had a nice dose of underlying hops to mask any sweetness and provide some bitterness.
