Out of the can it pours a clear and very pale straw color. In the glass it looks brassy golden with visible carbonation. A fingernail length head quickly fizzles out.
The nose opens funky, as you can smell the tartness from the pour. Aromas of grape must, dry white wine vinegar, lemon, lime, and a touch of floral hops amidst bready heated malt.
Opens surprisingly fruity and subtly sweet, with only a minimal pucker of tartness. Yet, it’s dry from the beginning, with a firm notes of sourdough bread and semi creamy wheat supporting the slightly increasing tartness. Flavors of grape must, lime, lemon and floral hops. The finish is dry and gently puckering.
Light bodied and easy to drink. Mouthfeel is relatively smooth with a hint of creaminess. The carbonation is moderate but slightly tails off.
Easy going and refreshing fruited sour. Very accessible as the tartness was never too mouth puckering.
