Brewed in collaboration with Outer Range Brewing. Single IPA engineered for summer. Pours hazy pale goldenrod in color with bright white foam. Passionfruit, pineapple, and blueberry, with hints of fresh tea leaf and mint. Brewed with pilsner and English pale ale malt, with a hefty dose of malted wheat. Fermented with English ale yeast. Hopped with Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, and Tettnang.

The 'hefty dose of malted wheat' is first noticed by the looks. The head is foamy and practically stark white. When it recedes, it does so unevenly and without much lacing inside of the clear pint glass. This was poured from a tap at Fergie’s in Philadelphia, so it's been reasonably chilled. The pour at a temperature closer to that of a cellar, the ideal temperature for IPAs, probably would have been even more undesirable. The about of barley malt in the mix helps to give this at least some aroma. But, it's faint and even the hopping seems mild. The brew is an opaque apricot-amber and far from murky, it's rather bright. The taste is toward juicy, without being too sweet. Maybe like a lemon and peach combination, with both the sweetness and tartness toned down. It never challenges the taste buds enough to be really interesting, but it is a pleasant swallow. Nice and almost bland, the ABV is tastefuly included. The body is good for a partially wheat malted brew, probably because barley malt hasn't been eliminated. This is a decently representative American version of an IPA. Far from great, it's also far from bad.
