EGOTRIP 06/16/21. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy medium amber with solid 2-finger off-white frothy head with a short layer of foam standing the whole beer with a sparse but continue stripe of lacing at the top.
S: Aroma is very strong of Strata with a combo of melon, berry, pineapple, guava, and lemongrass.
T: Flavor is good but the hop expression is a bit muddled with the flavor seeming more like tropical fruit punch than distinct hop flavors that you can pick out. Pleasant with moderate fruity esters and low bitterness (15 IBU by their website) and a long fruity-herbal aftertaste.
M: Very smooth and drinkable with low-medium carbonation and medium body at most with soft finish but a little too soft.
O: Interboro’s Ego Trippin’ is a very good NEIPA which just needs a bit more sharpness in the hop expression, which I wonder think might be better with a bit lower beer pH.
