Palate Contaminants: chardonnay
Moderate fineness head, slightly shading toward brown. Virtually no light at the edges of the dark brown liquid.
Smell certainly has a lot of char to it. It has a bit of wood pulp with it.
On taste, it's the black coffee of brewskis, and it somehow has a little bit of creamer with it. So, there's a little sweetness, but it doesn't integrate well with the smokiness. There's also bitterness (like black coffee), although it's not IPA hammer-level. It's good and plenty palatable, but not great.
Aftertaste has black coffee and green wood. Alcohol isn't particularly detectable for a niner. Carbonation is moderate-coarse, though not prickly. Again, it's far from unpleasant, but so much out there that's better.
