Brewed with Golden Promise, a delicious array of english specialty malts, and roasted barley. Fermented with English ale yeast, and hopped with Columbus & Centennial. Rich and full bodied, with chocolate and coffee notes from the roasty malt character. This maple barrel blend was two ex-bourbon barrels that then held maple syrup were filled for this blend. Subtle maple aroma along with vanilla and restrained oak. We then added pounds on pounds of freshly roasted peanuts and wild thai banana. Like a chocolate, peanut butter and banana sandwich.

Ok, there’s a uniqueness to this one that, when paired with its bold notes of (mostly, to me) stale peanut. The nose reminded more of walnut, initially. I think the banana and maple don’t come through with their unique notes, but might be influencing the peanut.
Maple and stout opens the taste, not sure if the former is driving the sweetness more than under-attenuated beer. Bourbon actually sneaks through to adds some spice before a stale peanut vibe comes in. I can guess banana tickles the edges because I see it in the name, but could see not picking it up independent of the knowledge.
Odd and distinctly flavored, but the oddity is driving my interest via curiosity more than pure enjoyment.
