Hazy amber color with a thick thin head that keeps a constant plate.
Lots of Citra hops in the nose with notes of pine, grapefruit, lemon, mild milk powder (I don’t think I would guess if I didn’t know it was there) and orange peel.
Hoppy flavor with notes of piney resin, tea bags, caramel malt in the background, grapefruit and orange peel citrusy, garlic, white pepper, vanilla, mango, a bit of lemon cheesecake, toasted malts, cocoa juice (the white stuff, not the seed) and melon. Quite dry aftertaste with a long-lasting bitterness.
Medium towards full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 8.5% is well disguised.
Definitely a DIPA for hop heads. How many IBUs did they throw in here? It provided tons of piney and resiny notes with a strong spicy character. Don’t expect any ice cream here.
