Unknown vintage; drank 3/4/18 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque brown/orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a HUGE khaki head; a thick curtain of lace.
Oats, fresh earth & light roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Dry oats, cream & light roast coffee bean flavors up front; faint pickle juice bite on the finish. I've had my last.

This is decent, but I have had better porters. The taste of roasted coffee really comes through on this one. I generally like this type of beer. Maybe it would taste better if I tried it after dinner or in the winter time. You better LOVE porter beers or you won't like this. UPDATE: I am having this after a nice barbecue dinner...... it IS a nice choice to wrap up the the savory smoked meat off the grill.

Extremely well done oatmeal porter. It's almost hoppier than I'd normally drink in a porter or stout, but they have the balance spot on. The maltiness is almost perfect, and the oat undertones push it to another level. The label speaks of "notes of cocoa and nuts". They're definitely there, though I wonder if the oats are what's providing that hint. It works, nonetheless, and I'm glad it does. I'm absolutely going to be purchasing this again.
