This reminds me a lot of Troegenator. Medium dark with the clean flavor of a lager. The malt of darker but not as strong as I expect from a doppleboch where this should be the primary flavor.

Sampling a cellar temp 32 oz crowler poured into my snifter. Picked up from the brewery a few weeks ago, crowler was filled 12/10.
The can is filled to the absolute top, even picked up the crowler squeezes some beer out of the opening.
The beer pours a rich amber to chestnut color with a fizzy beige head of 1.5 cm foaming up from the pour. This foam fades rapidly to nothing, with some lazy streams of carbonation rising to the surface but not recharging the head.
Aroma works for the style, I get caramel, brown sugar, and some toasted grain note with maybe some crackers too. Not really any hop presence on the nose and ABV is hidden here too.
First sip reveals a medium body with clean smooth texture. Carbonation is full and tingly, which I didnt expect from the head fading so quickly. Beer drinks pretty easy on physical traits.
Flavor is sweet malts, with brown sugar and some toasted notes, but also a bit of raisin or plum note mixing in for good measure. I do get some light herbal hop notes that leaves a bit of a black tea bite on the finish. This bitterness lingers for a second and then dries out my palate completely. no real hint of the alcohol here either. Dangerously drinkable for a decent ABV. Im sure I will feel it at the end of the crowler. Nice beer.
