Like a toned down Scrimshaw. Lighter body and less hops. Wish it had more of both. Would be good for the mega lager drinker.

Poured on-tap at the brewery, this Golden turned out to be the brewery's best offering of the day. The beer had a radiant, bold golden color with no substantial head. The beer had hints of hops in the nose, but nothing remarkable. The initial flavors of the beer were barley and an undertone of hops. Remarkably smooth, the beer had an "acid" aftertaste. The beer was smooth and much less sour than most pale ales. Very easy to drink, this is one of the better golden beers we've had in southern Cali

Poured a hazy yellowish gold color with good carbonation and a small white head. Nose is grain, citrus, perhaps some wheat. Taste is some honey, light citrus, grain. Mouthfeel is light crisp, honey lingers and pretty hoppy as well. Pretty good overall.

A - Poured up a crystal clear golden yellow with a white head that falls to a cap of foam
S - Grainy malt aroma dominates with a hint of hops at the finish.
T - Grainy malt is the predominant flavor, slightly sweet with a hop bitterness on the back of the throat in the finish. I 've been chasing complex malt beers so long, I've forgotten what a simple one malt beer can taste so good.
M - Good mouthfeel with strong carbonation.
D - Extremely drinkable beer. Very smooth and clean.

From beer sampler at the brewery. Golden with excellent clarity. A trace of fine, white head (not bad for being in a sample glass).
Husky, grainy flavor with some corn sweetness and mild hop bitterness to balance. Simple, but a respectable brewpub lager nonetheless. Moderate carbonation, medium-light bodied. Some astringency (probably tannins leached from grain husks).
Better than average brewpub lager, but not exactly mindblowing.

Poured from a growler into a glass, I found this blonde having a nice head and a deep gold color that reminds me of autumn in New York, with a slight wind to your back. The aroma of this libation left me wanting, but was a little fruity. I gently put the glass to my lips and was pleasantly surprised by the light feel and touch of fruit hidden in hopps. It felt smooth and very nice.

Sample at the brewpub: Pours clear golden with tiny bubbles and a thin white head. Thin rings of "V"-shaped lacing. Light aroma of hops and fruit. Light-bodied and somewhat crisp with a decent amount of hops and malt flavor, along with a touch of fruit. The finish is hoppy but thin. Decent for what it is - a thirst-quencher.

This is a very straight forward quaffer, hopping is subtle and malt is the key factor here. Typical golden color was topped by a pure white head that faded away. Lacing was wispy and scattered. Soft malty flavor was very refreshing, mouthfeel decent. This is a beer that can do you no wrong on a hot day, the kind of days we have been having way too many of lately.
