A very neat spot with a sort-of industrial but very welcoming vibe inside, and a massive area outside with tons of tables, bar-type seating, outdoor booths, and even a few lawn games. It was starting to get a little chilly when I visited a few weeks ago (mid-September), but there were still a ton of people outside enjoying the vibe. You can walk up and get window service, and if you order food they’ll bring it out to you (I didn’t eat here, but they seem to have good pizzas). Staff there were friendly.
They had 12 beers on tap when I was there, with an interesting variety. A churro-inspired imperial stout, a mezcal gose, hazy TIPA, blueberry cherry vanilla sour, toasted coconut black lager, salted lime mexican lager, agave passionfruit sour, standard hazy IPA, standard American IPA, a dark fruited sour, a citrus mimosa sour, and a standard pale ale. So, not a lot of “normal” styles; they seem to do a lot of experimentation. Lots of crowd pleasers — hazies, fruit sours, sweet dark beers. And I gotta say, from what I had there (and from what I took away in cans/bottles), the beer is damn good. Field House was definitely my favorite place in the Abbotsford area.

Being in Abbotsford, whose moto is "A City in the Country", you could say about Field House Brewing that it is a bit of Vancouver, Portland or Toronto in Abbotsford. While full hipsterdom has yet to completely reach this city an hour out of Vancouver, this certainly checks all the boxes of a hip brewery you'd expect to find elsewhere. The location is small, but has a range of table sizes, along with outdoor patio/lawn space for those long hot summer nights, and a real wood burning fireplace for those equally long winter nights. The decor is as to be expected of a modern 'craft' establishment, but for Abbotsford this isn't a bad thing. We only had pretzels, but they were very authentic, made from an equally great cafe/bakery not far away in Old Hand Coffee. The rest of the food seemed on point and others have said it was good.
As to the beers, all the beers we had were quite good. They pour a variety of sizes (nice to see), as well as flights and growler fills for the locals, and bottles to go too, not to mention a full line of swag if that's your thing. As is the trend right now, many were soured, both for good and bad, but the beers were if not overly complex, generally well made, very drinkable and already showing some advanced experimentation and collaboration for such a young brewery. (they aren't huge but already have their own koolship in the back)
Overall, worth a visit if you're passing by on the No.1, and a great place to pass the time as a local resident. A brewery that has a lot of upside from the start.

What a fantastic tasting room! A great location both inside and out. A roaring fireplace and tons of seating with some quality brews for a very new operation. I would most certainly recommend a visit to see what they have on tap. On my first visit, they offered four unique brews of their own and had a great wit from Brassneck as well. I hope they continue to offer guest taps from other great local breweries.
I will be back.
