Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours clear golden-amber with creamy white lingering head and moderate lacing.
S: Initial malt, light toffee, citrus, and cream. Biscuit notes on a lesser note.
T: Tangy citrus burst on the sip with subtle floral notes transitioning to sweet toffee and caramelised fruits, and eventual biscuit hops. There is a heady bitterness throughout the flavour profile which lingers significantly on the back of the tongue leaving a dryness, and making the alcohol stand out more than should be perhaps noticed for a 4.1%. Maybe a little overwhelming for those who don't turn very often to bitters.
M: Light carbonation, medium bodied, leaves a sensation on the tongue of grapefruit pith.
O: Average for its class, although a bit overzealous with the bitterness which is masking the flavours of the fruit and biscuit.
