Pitch black appearance. Nice crown of brown foam on top. Lace is very nice. It coats about 50% of the glass on the way down. Nose is quite nice. Coffee bean, roasted malt, chocolate... More of the same on the buds. With an emphasis on some char and burnt malts. I love that in an Oatmeal Stout as long as it's countered nicely and kept in check...and it is. The mouthfeel is very creamy, velvety... Body is about medium, maybe medium-full... This is a very nice Oatmeal Stout. Easily the best beer I've had from this brewpub.

Without question THE best beer this place has ever constructed...almost an Imperial Oatmeal Stout as this stuff has kicked my ass a time or two at relatively low dosages....if feels Imperial too...thick..rich...full bodied....creamy..this is a really a top notch stout....big rich flavors....the oatmeal makes it creamy and smooth...after further review I think this should be classified as an Imperial Oatmeal Stout...I bet it goes 8.0 ABV or better and has a very full mouthfeel, but the creamy, smooth oatmeal texture really is nice and unique...

This is gone until next winter but it will be eagerly anticipated...now they just need to get growlers so I can hord some of this and send it to mey friends...
