The problem with this place is their consistency....I've had decent porters here at times but this isn't one of those batches...coal black in color with a tan 1/4 inch head...on the nose it's vanilla, mild milk chocolate...and sour vinegar...the taste is sweet...milk chocolate...also a very light hint of dog shit...very little hop presence...mouthfeel is slick and sweet....thinnish...
The dogshit notes turn me off....I like the sweeter profile but it seems a little unbalanced and the vinegar on the nose is also a drawback...Have had porters here with more hop presence...again it's all about the consistency at this place..
