Quarantine day twenty: the beer stash is down to about six months, haven’t been to a liquor store in over two weeks, beginning to worry. Thanks to megadeph for this 500ML bottle.
Impenetrable darkness with dark red around the edges, & after a few minutes about as much visible carbonation as a three day old glass of tap water. The nose is rum with brown sugar about the rim of the glass.
Murry Fuggin Crimmus is not, I assume, a Buddhist brew. It’s a sharpened axe forged mostly of rum & Ceylon cinnamon. In isolation (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah) either of these things can take over a brew, & working in concert, they drown the rye whiskey (a tragedy) & the cocoa nibs (an offense to this chocolate addict). Touch of coconut & chocolate, booze, with a dry, chalky finish. 500ML is more than enough for a Tuesday evening & not enough for a holiday gathering of family. You know, those people in your family.
A beer without the light touch these ingredients demand; pretty good brew.

A: Very dark brown with lingering light brown head
S: Rum, sweet brown sugar, marshmallow, cinnamon, milk chocolate, doughnut, coconut
T: Coconut, rum, balanced cinnamon, milk chocolate, spicy rye, oak, light roast
M: Medium and creamy
O: Very well balanced and complex. A total dessert with enough rye spice, earthy cinnamon and roasty malt to balance
