A: Pours a muddled dark brown color with some ruby red around the edges. A bubbly tan head rises to about a finger before it recedes. No lace to speak of.
S: A first I get a little fusel alcohol. That gives way to toasted malts, caramel, burnt sugars, and cherries. The cherries are a bit medicinal, though not to bad on that end.
T: This needs to really warm up to get the full effect. Toasted malts, chocolate, caramel sweetness. Burnt sugars, dark fruits, and cherries. Which again, I find the cherries a touch on the medicinal side, though not enough to detract to much.
M/O: A full body and almost under carbonated. More viscous, and slightly stick. Which isn't bad. Overall, a good sipper though. Not perfect but enjoyable.
Something that grows on me. I do like it, but the slight medicinal cherry character and almost under carbonation keeps this from really shinning. Still something I would recommend, and a good attempt, if not perfect, from Sigma.
