Collaboration with Rowley Farmhouse Ales

Sour Pale Ale dry hopped with Citra and Cashmere. Collaboration with Rowley Farmhouse Ales.

I’m a dude, playin’ a dude, disguised as another dude. That’s the premise of this collab with our newfound friends over at Rowley Farmhouse Ales in Santa Fe, NM. We figured that creating a beer, that tastes like it’s not beer, using only beer ingredients, would be a fun challenge. By souring in the kettle to add tart acidity, then fermenting with Norwegian Kviek yeast at 95 degrees Fahrenheit for fruity esters, and finally dry hopping with Hallertau Blanc and Amarillo, we hoped to create a beer that tasted like a shandy, using no lemons or citrus. It’s definitely something we’ll be drinking as the days get hotter and longer. Also, if you ever see John Rowley, that dude gives the best hugs. So good we had to name this beer after them.
