Serving: 16 oz can filled at the brewery on 1-May-20, poured into a Spiegelau Beer Tulip.
Appearance: Dark, opaque brown with a scarce head of tan foam and residual suds.
Smell: Deeply malty, with plenty of caramel, dark fruit, and some pleasantly funkier sherry notes.
Taste: Big blast of smooth, malty sweetness, with plenty of caramel and dark, toasty notes. Verging on almost too sweet.
Mouthfeel: Rich, smooth and silky with soft to moderate carbonation.
Overall: A massive malt bomb with some nice barrel notes and plenty of sweet caramel note. No hint of its 12% ABV. Perfectly washed down some fresh chocolate chip cookies.
