9oz pour at J Henry’s
L: off putting. I don’t like my IPAs this yellow. Opaque haze. But in a positive way it signals the taste
S: not strong enough. Really have to breathe deep to get basic piney IPA
T: this is what made me come here. It’s dank and juicy at the same time. I can’t remember an IPA that has done this vividly; maybe a little of one and a lot of the other, but this does both clearly. Absolutely no malt, so it’s Texas juice, not California or Florida.
F: the astringency isn’t what I’m looking for right now, but commensurate with the type.
O: I ended up at 3.75, but it’s really unique and something I would look for when I want zero malt flavor.
