Low calorie, low carbohydrate, and low ABV, Sueño is a Small IPA with a big taste. It’s got the traditional hoppiness you crave while allowing you to drink mindfully. The aroma is an inviting bouquet of floral and fruity notes. This lighter botanical palate is complemented by hints of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango, blended with the taste of grapefruit from Centennial hop for a subtle sweetness. On the tongue, the beer is clean and effervescent, with a crisp mouthfeel that refreshes the senses. Curated to provide a break from the everyday, Sueño’s flavors are well-balanced and highly satiating without the commitment of a regular IPA.

The guava is overwhelming which is a flavor I really can't stand. I know I'm in the minority but this beer isn't marketed as having guava despite it being a stand out note. I don't get any mango or pineapple. The color is extremely pale like an adjunct lager. The head is quick to foam out but not bad for a low abv beer. The nose is dominated by guava which I again can't stand. Look, if it was marketed as a guava beer I couldn't knock it but it feels like they tried to load it up with guava to check the "tropical fruits" department instead of relying upon the hops to do the work.

A: Pours a clear yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lac left behind.
S: Plenty of citrus and lemon just punch you in the face. Almost dank and perfume like. Simple, by very aromatic.
T: Like the nose, citrus, lemon, floral like hops are the show. Dank, earthy, and intense. Plenty of bitterness, but that never becomes overbearing and instead gives a nice dry finish.
M/O: A light body for sure. Though effervescent, spritzy and finishes wonderfully dry. I can easily drink a lot of this, which is the intention of coarse.
Very low ABV of coarse, but the hop character is really well done. That is really all there is, along with a great crisp bite and dryness. All of which I like. Some of the lower ABV "sesion IPA's", or whatever you want to call them, can seem a little one noted and I lose interest quickly. There was just enough nuance here, that I didn't get that feeling. It might not be for everybody, but something I enjoyed and would easily get again.
