I had this beer on-tap in a stemless wine glass at the brewery. The menu has this listed as a thiolized IPA with Chinook and Simcoe hops.
Appearance: rich amber-orange hue with a dash of haze and a thin layer of frothy ivory foam. Interesting … I like it.
Smell: sweet with a good malt character and a kinda odd, concentrated-passionfruit character. Weird, but good!
Taste: toasty malt along with a dank and fruity-ish hop character; it’s that concentrated passionfruit again — but not too sweet or tart or anything. It’s kind of odd and unique … thiolized beers can be pretty interesting. I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is kind of a unique and unusual beer in my experience; odd, but good. It’s almost more like a dank amber than any kind of IPA. Anyway … good!
