On tap at Calusa. Pours a pretty dark gold with a frothy head. Nothing overpowers anything else here. Definite grapefruit peel but also tangelo sweetness. The hops is quiet. It's a solid hazy DIPA. Is it too simple to say that it's Zote with a higher ABV?

Delicious DIPA! Brought back a huge assortment from the brewery. I will come back to add more detail.

Mar 2021 - Siesta Key spring break
Pint can poured into tall water tumbler.
Pour: deep orange, swirled with hazy gold and yellow. Big, foamy white head and plenty of lacing. Nice looking if somewhat expected for the style. 4.0
Smell: grapefruit, tangerine, pine, bready malt. All subtle, balanced. 3.75
Taste: grapefruit peel, tangerine peel and flesh, spruce, bread, hint of bubble gum and/or sweet tarts. Really well balanced, like the nose, subtle with nothing smacking you in the face. Very enjoyable. 4.25
Feel: pretty much what you expect from a hazy DIPA. Substantial, not cloying, smooth with fairly clean finish. Medium-high carbonation. 3.75
Overall: really good, easy to drink, not sure it’s outstanding for the style but definitely a cut above. Worth trying and would buy again. 4.0

As the Florida beerscape is either feast or famine, Calusa Brewing is making sure that the Sarisota hop heads aren't going without.
Creamy and slightly silted, Bones & Domino carries a matte tapioca appearance underneath a rich ivory lather. As the premiere hops of Mosaic and Azacca tease the nose with the radiance of stone fruit, tropical fruit, berry, citrus and gin-like botanicals with a bold suggestion of hemp. Sweeter on the tongue, the flavors start off with a rich pastry taste of poundcake, honeysuckle and creamed honey.
But not to be outdone, the hops become the start of the middle palate, With the white grapefruit, passionfruit, under ripened orange character of Mosaic playing perfect complement to Azacca's, nectarine character and the fruity display is nearly complete. A late taste of dark berry closes out the taste late along with a peppery, tea-like bite with fresh hemp, gin spice and peppery grasses.
Medium full in body, the nearly tangy suggestions from hops work to keep the ale light and delicately resinous, finishing with a slight vodka bite and all those juniper botanicals trending spucy and peppery. A medium long aftertaste of fruit peels, mint and fresh herbs play into a piquant aftertaste.
