Appearance - Pours a pale copper/orange amber with a finger width of bubbly white head.
Smell - Earthy and leafy hops, bready and biscuity malts, caramel, lemon.
Taste - Earthy/leafy hops with a mild bitterness, and a strong backbone of malts. Touch of caramel and grain sweetness. It reminds me more of an English pale ale.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with low-to-moderate carbonation. Dry finish with lingering leafy hop bitterness.
Overall - A pretty decent pale ale. I was expecting this to be in the style of a NZ pale ale, so a slight disappointment that it takes after its American and English cousins.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2017; lot L697. A gift from my brother following a trip to NZ. I like this brewery's stylised branding.
A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A rich orange-amber colour with light sediment and moderate carbonation. Yields a decent head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before subsiding to a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of sweet grainy malt and hops with hints of grass/hay, mild pine, barley sugar, biscuity malt, ale yeast and leafiness. Rather nice.
T: Tastes of sweet malt and aromatic hops with notes of grass/hay, light pine, leafiness, biscuity grain, barley sugar and ale yeast. A robust hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with light carbonation and good body. Aftertaste of bitter hops, mild pine and grainy malt.
O: A tasty little brew - a nice blend of sweet malt and assertive hops. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are well balanced and hoppy. Body is OK. The label doesn't mention the hop varieties used though I presume they are from NZ. However, the character is decidedly American in style. A solid effort that is worth sampling.

Going off memory from recent trip to New Zealand...
Poured a clear yellow hue with 1 inch white head. A very clean and refreshing New Zealand pale ale with notable white wine hop notes. And more...the mix of various hops led to a very pleasant and smooth New Zealand hop experience. Had 4 from this brewery and this one was my favorite. Wish I had taken some tasting notes...
