Pours from the growler into a half liter stein a rich copper/bronze with a thinner white head that is gone pretty quickly atop.Big caramel with warming booze in the nose,a bit of anise is detected as well.Quite boozy on the palate up front with some drying midway,caramel and vanilla comes thru mostly under the booziness.Maybe the booziest pale bock I have had,it does cut thru the cold.
